Living Traditions Productions proudly presents the first Beyond the Pride Lion Dance Exhibition set to be held in Southern California, Fall 2009. The Beyond the Pride Exhibition (BPX) will be a fun-filled event open to spectators of all ages as we bring together Lion Dance teams from far and wide, as well as other area performance teams for a day of entertainment unseen before in Southern California. Come watch as Lion Dance teams present their best performances through expressions and movements of happiness, hesitation, fright, ferocity, and jubilation as well as daring acrobatic feats to the sounds of the traditional drums, cymbals and gongs. Seating will be limited and tickets will be pre-sold.
As Lion Dancers ourselves, we know that pride is an integral part of the Lion Dancer life style: pride in one's traditions, pride in one's team, and pride in one's craft. Living Traditions Productions hopes to provide an open arena to display the best of our proud art form to the community. LTP also hopes to foster brotherhood and sportsmanship between teams, encouraging participants to go beyond one's pride and interact and learn from each other.
