Games


LTP will be hosting a few games for Beyond the Pride. The games will take place during the course of the exhibition. These games are designed so that you, the audience, can have a fun time and be part of the exhibition. However, due to the nature of the games, early signup is required and it is on a first come first serve basis. We will be giving out prizes for the winner of each game. Participants in the games will receive free entry to the BPX. This is open to anyone planning to attend BPX.



"So you think you can dance."
Summary: Create an amusing routine for the DTF/Ong Dia/Big Head Buddha.

Rules:
1. the competition is limited to one team members per participating team
2. the participant must bring his or her own costume and props
3. participants are able to provide the organizers with a CD of the soundtrack for the routine
4. each act must not exceed 3 minutes in length
5. please respect the DTF/Ong Dia/Big Head Buddha
6. winner of the competition will be judged by audience recognition



"What goes up, must come down...over and over again. How long can you last?"
Summary: The head jumps and the tail will lift to see which team is the last one standing.

Rules:
1. the competition is limited to a 2 member team per participating team
2. participants are advised to bring their own lion head
• a limited supply of lion heads will be provided on a first come first serve basis
3. once the competition is started, head and tail may not swap
4. all movements have to be on beat
5. Up: to remain in the competition, at the peak of the jump the head player's lower waist must be above the tails player's head
6. Down: to remain in the competition, the head player must land the jump solidly on two feet and only two feet
7. failure to achieve Up and/or Down will result in elimination
8. the organizing committee will provide a referee per participating team
9. last team standing will be determined the winner of the competition



"Lion see, lion do. It's a game of...horse?"
Summary: Perform a series of stunt combos for other teams to imitate. The team who can imitate the stunts the best while stumping the others will be crowned the winner.

Rules:
1. the competition is limited to a 2 member team per participating team
2. participants must bring their own lion head
3. head player and tail player may swap roles at any time during the competition
4. the team order will be chosen at random
5. the creator is permitted to execute a series of stunts
• stunt series are limited to a maximum of 5 stunts
6. the creator must be announce their stunt prior to execution
7. upon successful completion of the stunt(s) by the creator, each team must imitate the creator's stunt
8. the creator and the imitating teams are limited to only one attempt
9. each team will attempt to imitate the creator's stunt until one team fails or until every team has successfully executed the creator's stunt
• at this time the creator will announce their new stunt(s)
• should the imitating team fail to execute the creator's stunt(s), the team will receive a mark and the next team in line gets to create the new stunt.
10. creator may not use the same series of stunts created before (e.g. if the first stunt is just a single headsit then the creator cannot use the headsit again without having it accompany by another stunt like a half deck and then jump into a headsit).

• TIPS: in the case where the creator is unsuccessful in executing their announced stunt, if the subsequent creator is able to successfully execute the stunt, the primary announcing team will receive a mark
11. teams that earn 3 marks will be eliminated
12. last team standing will be determined the winner of the competition
