Hosting Teams
The hosting teams provide the manpower for Beyond the Pride. They were asked by Living Traditions Productions to volunteer and aid in this exhibition. The teams gave us connections, resources, and motivation to host an event for lion dancers from all around. In the future, LTP would like to move the exhibition around the nation so we will ask another set of teams to help host the exhibition. Thank you those who have put in the time and those who will in the future to further the cause. |
Gió Nam Múa Lân
Gió Nam Múa Lân (Southern Wind Lion Dance) was founded as a fund raising group for the Vietnamese Student Association of the University of California, Irvine. Gió Nam hopes to create strong bonds, not only among our teammates, but with other lion dancing groups across the Orange County.

Southern Young Tigers
Southern Young Tigers (SYT) is a sister team of Loong Mah Sing See Wui of San Francisco, based in the University of California, Irvine under the direction of Sihing Eric Ting. With Loong Mah's influences on this team, SYT has a strong traditional base but also brings in new ideas, creating a style of their own. |
